Good Practices

Aimed at Creating Awareness on various Concerns, inculcating Values and Recognising outstanding Achievements, the following have been initiated:

  • Award for the Most Promising Student Teacher of the Batch

This Award is launched to encourage student teachers to work harder, harness and nurture their innate potentials so as to realize and achieve their full capacities as humane facilitator. The Awardee is chosen based on the overall assessment during the 2-year B.Ed programme. This selection is made on the consensus of all members of the college.

  • Achievers Award

To give recognition to the University Achievers from the College, and to also motivate student teachers, the Achievers’ Award has been instituted, and Certificates with Cash Prizes have been given to those securing positions in the Top 20 of the University. This Award is sponsored by the Principal and Faculty of the College.

  • Mentoring

Mentoring with student teachers coming from various backgrounds, contexts and age groups they are faced with many challenges during the course of the programme. To help them address and tide over these challenges the faculty take it upon themselves to help, assess and mentor the student teachers to their best possible ability.

  • Sponsoring of One (1) Student Teacher belonging to EBC

Starting from academic session July 2020, the Principal and Faculty will be sponsoring the fees of one student teacher belonging to the Economically Backward Category (EBC) for which a seat has been reserved under the management quota.

  • Project “We Care”

Beginning with the year 2019, the College has initiated Project ‘We Care’, through which student-teachers will be involved in various welfare activities. The different clubs will initiate welfare activities for the college and at least one activity for the Community. This Project will be carried out yearly under different themes.

  • Paperless Information System

To reduce the use of paper in the campus, all Notifications, Circulars and other such information including Faculty Meeting Minutes are shared through media such as electronic display, bulk messaging and e-mailing.

  • Single Use Plastic Free Zone

The College is committed to maintaining a democratic system of management and administration with an open communication channel for feedback from all stakeholders.

  • Community Outreach Programme

The College conducts regular programmes reaching out to different sections of the community where student teachers are required to compulsorily participate.
